Hanskin Real Complexion Hyaluron Skin Essence Review

I’ve used Hanskin Real Complexion Hyaluron Skin Essence for over a year now. I really really really like it a lot. I struggle with thinking my skin looks dehydrated but I don’t know if it is or not. So I try to use lots of different hyaluronic acid products.

Mia’s review:

I am so dedicated to the Hanskin Hyaluron Skin Essence that I used to use SK-II essence and then apply a few drops of this on top of it. That is because this essence is a little on the thick side (I think)…or at least compared to the SK-II essence. It is not super thick; sometimes, if I don’t want to use P50, I will put this on a cotton pad and wipe it on my face but other wise, I put some in my palm and pat/rub it on.

I’m not sure about some of the other ingredients but I used to pay quite a lot for Biologique Recherche’s collagen serum so I hope the hydrolyzed collagen in this essence does something for my skin.

Also, let’s not forget that I am looking for hyaluronic acid that will penetrate my skin (i.e., low-molecular weight hyaluronic acid) replace a prescription product I used to use.  The Hanskin Hyaluron  Essence is marketed as having “…sodium hyaluronate that’s comprised of smaller molecules…”. This might be just marketing lingo but just in case it isn’t, I want to use it.

I also use other serums and then finally a thicker hyaluronic acid serum (see reviews here and here) on top. So I treat this as an essence and it does not replace a serum even if the ingredients overlap. It might be overkill but I feel my skin is more hydrated using it.

Note: As always, I purchased this product myself. I do not accept products as gifts in exchange for writing a review or write sponsored posts. Nor are my reviews always positive.
