I try to test every product I come across and tweet the pH level so that I don’t re-test it later or spend time googling for the pH level. Below is a list of the products that I’ve tested with a pH of 6.5 or higher. A haphazard list for now just to get the information out there.

In our pursuit of the best bar soap that you can use on the face and body, we’ve ended up with Vanicream Cleansing Bar. It is marketed as being for sensitive skin and being free of dyes, lanolin, fragrance, parabens and is non-comedogenic. This seems to be highly recommended by dermatologists and has received pretty good reviews from most of the folks over at MUA for use as a facial cleanser.
We tried Sebamed Clear Face Cleansing Bar as part of our experiment looking for a bar soap to use on the face and in the shower. We again tried Sebamed because we knew the pH would be right.

Ahava moisturizing salt soap is the soap he’s been using for the past several months. I happened upon this soap while googling for a low pH soap and found it mentioned in a NYT article about bar soaps gaining popularity.
