As a follow-up to my post about my morning skincare routine, here is what I use in the evenings and why:

A couple of months ago, I wrote a review about the original version with phenol. Because the EU and Canada have banned phenol in skincare products, I thought I should try the updated version. Because I’ve read that the phenol-less version doesn’t work as well, I bought the full-strength P50 instead of my usual P50v.
After hearing about Lotion P50 nearly a year ago, I’ve googled the product extensively. There are a lot of reviews but I found few about Biologique Recherche’s P50v 1970 formula. The “v” version is supposed to be a little milder for those with sensitive skin types and also those new to using P50. The idea is that after an adjustment period, one can graduate to using the full strength version of P50. The “1970” means it is the original version that includes phenol, a controversial ingredient, that is banned in some countries.
Also, for those of you who are new to P50, it isn’t really a lotion. It is a toner that exfoliates. You use it after cleansing and before moisturizing.
