CeraVe Foaming Cleanser Review

CeraVe foaming cleanser is a very popular cleanser with bloggers and dermatologists alike. I love that this cleanser has a slightly lower pH level than the cleansers I typically use as well.

Mia’s review: I’ve tried using CeraVe foaming cleanser in the past, two separate times. Each time, after about a week or so, it gave me skin colored bumps. Not acne exactly but clogged pores, I guess. I really want to like this cleanser because it is so popular and gentle but it just isn’t for me. It does foam nicely and the bottle is a bit on the larger size (12 ounces) so it lasts a long time. It also has a great price.

I recommended this to my best friend a few months ago and she loves it! She uses it twice a day and is on her second bottle.

Update March 2017: I found out awhile ago that I can’t use products with caprylic/capric triglyceride (fractionated coconut oil) because it gives me skin colored bumps. This knowledge is a life changer and it also means that this cleanser is likely wonderful for most people, just not me. My best friend still uses it twice a day, nearly two years after I wrote this post.

Update Nov 2018: Reviews of other cleansers I like: make p:rem Moisture Cleansing FoamCOSRX Low pH, First Aid Beauty, Hada Labo Hydrating Cleanser
