This winter has been particularly dry and after trying the Pyunyung Yul Essence Toner (click for my review), I decided to try the Etude Soonjung Relief Toner because it doesn’t have any silicones and has a nice low, acidic pH level. I was looking for something to replace my P50W at night because of the low humidity. And also because I’m a little tired of waiting for 15 minutes between P50W and tretinoin.
I don’t have anything bad to say. But I’m not raving about it either. The toner isn’t drying but I also didn’t find it to be noticeably moisturizing on its own. It didn’t cause any breakouts or redness, and it didn’t sting or irritate my skin. It is definitely a good choice for me since I just wanted something to make sure my skin’s pH level is appropriate after cleaning with a face wash and water. It might be more noticeably moisturizing if you have oily skin or live in a more humid climate.
I’ve decided to try the SoonJung emulsion next since it looks like it would be more moisturizing. I’ll write a review soon. [Update: the emulsion isn’t what I thought it would be. The texture is like a thin lotion. I like it, review forthcoming!]
