I’m reviewing a couple of bar soaps because my husband insists on using ONE bar soap in the shower for his body and face. Ahava moisturizing salt soap is the soap he’s been using for the past several months. I happened upon this soap while googling for a low pH soap and found it mentioned in a NYT article about bar soaps gaining popularity.
pH Level: 5.5
Mia/V’s review: The AHAVA deadsea salt soap foams up well enough to use in the shower. It doesn’t foam the best out of all the bar soaps we’ve tried but well enough that we have used this for the past ~8 months. Some folks use this as a facial cleanser exclusively. I think that might be because this is a very very pricey shower soap ($10). It lasts 3-4 weeks with once daily showers. It’s been a great soap for face/body so far.
